What should I bring?
– We recommend at least 3 gis (white gi only)
– jiu jitsu belt
– exercise clothes
– bathing suit
– open and closed toe shoes
– white attire for white party (semiformal)
– bring whatever you need to feel comfortable
– laundry service is available provided by the hotel for additional fees
What documents do I need to travel?
You will need a valid passport and proper documentation based on your specific needs. Each guest is responsible for organizing their own paperwork necessary for travel. In addition, it is recommended that guests bring a second official form of identification such as a laminated driver’s license or identification card issued by a federal, state, provincial, country, territory or municipal authority
Transportation to and from the hotel
We will be providing shuttle services unless you requested to commute on your own. If you have not provided your flight details, please do so by September 26th. We need your arrival and departure times and flight number for both so we can get the shuttle information to you ASAP
Do I need to reserve my spot on the group excursions or can I change my mind when I am there?
Guests must sign up ahead of time for the offsite excursions to Negril Beach and Dunn River Falls. You will not be able get a refund for Dunn River Falls if you decide to cancel on the trip. Register at avivexperience@gmail.com before Sept 26th and let us know if we can count you in!
Do I need certain currency for the retreat?
Ocean Coral Springs resort is an all inclusive resort including food, drinks, and most hotel entertainment. If you travel offsite the local currency is in Jamaican dollars.
What if I have to cancel after registering?
Due to the unique nature of our hotel booking we will not be able to provide a refund for this event.
Can I record a video during the seminars?
It is prohibited to record techniques or demos shown during the class. You are more than welcome to take your own personal photos/videos outside of the seminars.
